Defining – and Designing – Trash Out of Existence at Yankee Stadium
There's no more trash at Yankee Stadium unless you count the trash talk when the Boston Red Sox are in town. Even the word “Trash” has disappeared.
How is this possible? Fans leave behind an estimated 16 million cubic feet of refuse at stadiums every year, enough to fill Yankee Stadium with 2 million cubic feet leftover.

The Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons football team initiated a new recycling campaign “Rise Up & Recycle” to gear up for the home opening 2013 NFL Season at the Georgia Dome. The campaign, created in partnership with Novelis, the world’s largest recycling company, was launched simultaneously with “Get Caught In the Act” program, where fans were videotaped recycling in the stadium and clips played on the Jumbotron. The Atlanta Falcons selected Recycle Away to create the custom recycling containers for this important and high-profile campaign launch.

City of Albany, New York
Historic Washington Park in Albany, New York is the city’s most cherished and highly utilized public space. The Park has a variety of architectural designs including monuments, theatres, and cobblestone walkways. It is host to large events on regular basis. Despite being the city’s most recognized and largest park, there was no recycling system in place. The City of Albany partnered with Recycle Away to design custom recycling containers that would be zero maintenance and reflect the architecture and landscape of park.

March 2012 the City of Las Vegas opened their state-of-the-art, energy efficient city hall built to LEED standards. The modern glass facade illuminates the interior with bright sunlight by day and celebrates the city’s neon heritage by night. The recycling containers would be highly visible for ease-of-use and selected to match with the futuristic, elegant decor.

Burton, one of the most iconic snowboarding brands in the world, chose Recycle Away to outfit their eco-friendly headquarters in Burlington, VT, with a complete waste stream program. They wanted something that would separate trash, compost, and recycling, and that would also fit in with their brand.

Athens-Clarke County
Athens-Clarke County in Georgia, led by Waste Reduction Administrator Suki Janssen, came to Recycle Away with the goal to reach a 75% waste diversion goal by 2020. Their busy town needed durable, clearly labeled recycling bins that had weather-protectant lids. They also wanted the containers to fit in with the charming aesthetic of their town.
